Prayer December 2011

A prayer for Freedom House -- a Journey of Hope

Isaiah 40:28-31 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We praise your awesome name, your sovereignty, and your just and almighty character. Lord, you are our Savior from the beginning to the end, our Redeemer, our Counselor, our best friend, the King, and the I AM. We praise you every day when we are happy and when we are depressed or however we feel because you’re worthy! We praise you when we are lost because you make our paths straight and when we are in darkness because your light shines through and guides us.

Lord, we are so thankful for a new life through the suffering of your son. We acknowledge his sacrifices and your power that sets us free every day. We thank you for your graciousness and compassion upon us when we are blind and so undeserving. We glorify you for these precious gifts.

Lord, we love you! Thank you for this new heart, new mind, new soul, and spirit and for meeting us wherever we are in our darkest place and turning into light. Thank you for forgiving us of our sins and our hardened hearts. We continue to claim these blessings and honor you every day.

Lord, help us to let your light shine to bless others and to glorify your name. Lord, guide us to further your kingdom and grant us a heart like yours.

Lord, we thank you for freeing the sisters from their oppressors and providing them a safe and healthy place to find a new life. Lord, may you continue to journey with them and comfort them and fill their void with your perfect peace. Lord, bless these ladies with a renewed mind and with strength and patience, and encourage them to find the truth. Lord, may you provide a source of healing and deliverance to their hurting souls.

Lord, we thank you for your servants and staff who are divinely chosen. May you bless them with wisdom and words of encouragement, overflowing them with love to share with the residents. May you shine through them and provide guidance and vision to continue your will. May you equip us like eagle’s wings, protect our hearts with your sword, and shield us with more faith. Lord, may there be unlimited streams of water when there are deserts areas in our lives. May you bless us with everlasting joy and perfect peace.

We place this entire house, staff, volunteers and residents under your protection and care. We love you and everything we do, we do it to bring glory to your name. We are excited for your will to be done and may you be glorified through all that we do at the house. Lord, may we continue to journey together and help other s find the light.

In your Son, Jesus' precious name. Amen.
