Here are a few ways to participate in getting the word out about the need for Freedom House in the San Francisco bay area. You don’t need any special training to help build awareness of the need for safe houses in the USA. Click on the links below to participate in the following ways:
1. Sign our volunteer page – If you are interested in volunteering, fill out the form below. Freedom House will be holding a training in June-July 2010 for volunteers who want to work at the shelter home. Please indicate below if you are interested in attending the training.
2. Look at Employment and Volunteer Opportunities on "About Us" tab – Freedom House is now furnishing the shelter home and is looking for various household items. As a house party fundraiser, invite Freedom House to discuss the shelter home project and invite friends to donate items from the Freedom House registry for the house. Friends can donate tangible items that can be used in the home. If you are interested in learning more, please contact info@freedom-house.us.com.
3. Host a housewarming shower

4. Host a human trafficking awareness event – If you are affiliated with a school, corporation or small group, we would love to tell you about how human trafficking and modern-day slavery impacts the cities across the US and what Freedom House plans to do about it.
