Here are a few ways to participate in getting the word out about the need for Freedom House in the San Francisco bay area. You don’t need any special training to help build awareness of the need for safe houses in the USA. Click on the links below to participate in the following ways:
1. Sign our volunteer page – If you are interested in volunteering, fill out the form below. Freedom House will be holding a training in June-July 2010 for volunteers who want to work at the shelter home. Please indicate below if you are interested in attending the training.
2. Look at Employment and Volunteer Opportunities on "About Us" tab – Freedom House is now furnishing the shelter home and is looking for various household items. As a house party fundraiser, invite Freedom House to discuss the shelter home project and invite friends to donate items from the Freedom House registry for the house. Friends can donate tangible items that can be used in the home. If you are interested in learning more, please contact info@freedom-house.us.com.
3. Search on iGive.com and earn donations for Freedom House
For each person who joins iGive using the special link below and does just one qualified web search on the site between 9 a.m. CST, Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 and noon CST, Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, iGive will give Freedom House $1.00! 4. Donate Sports and Arts Equipment
We are looking for a new or lightly used basketball, tennis rackets, soccer ball and frisbee. We are also looking for a new or lightly used sewing machine and various art supplies. If you want to donate these items, contact Freedom House at info@freedom-house.us.com.
5. Donate Your Car, Boat, Truck, RV, Jet Ski or Snowmobile
Donate your car, boat, truck, RV, jet ski or snowmobile to Freedom House and receive a tax deduction. This no cost, no hassle process begins when you contact our fundraising partner, Donation Line LLC at 877-227-7487. Make sure to ask for us by name (Freedom House). Donation Line will take care of selling your vehicle and donate proceeds to Freedom House.
6. Host a Housewarming Shower.

7. Buy Items that Work Towards Ending Human Trafficking and Make a Donation to Freedom House - SET Boutique sells items from socially responsible suppliers to end modern day slavery. You can purchase items and gifts from SET Boutique and make a donation to Freedom House.
8. Host a human trafficking awareness event – If you are affiliated with a school, corporation or small group, we would love to tell you about how human trafficking and modern-day slavery impacts the cities across the US and what Freedom House plans to do about it.
